Children discover movement no one predicted.
Adults find freedom from pain they learned to live with.
Whether you're here for your child or for yourself, you're in the right place.
If your child has cerebral palsy, developmental delays, autism, or other challenges, you know the frustration of therapies that don't seem to stick. The Curious Path method works with your child's brain, not against it, to unlock movement, learning, and growth that traditional approaches miss.
I work with children experiencing: cerebral palsy, developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, scoliosis, traumatic brain injury, stroke, genetic disorders, and other neurological challenges. It's never too early to start, and it's never too late to begin.

This isn't therapy. It's not exercise. It's a gentle, brain-centered approach that helps your nervous system discover easier ways to move.
Every session begins by meeting you or your child exactly where you are today. No judgments. No pushing. No forcing. I observe how the brain is currently organizing movement.
Through slow, gentle, hands-on movement, I offer the brain new information to work with. Given the right input, the nervous system begins finding new options on its own. No effort required.
You or your child begins moving in ways that surprise everyone, including you. Pain decreases. Coordination improves. Movement becomes easier, freer, and more joyful.
As a parent with a young adult who is totally involved in her daily routine, I was skeptical if the therapy would do anything. Day 1: What just happened? The day after her first session, B was lying with her head on the pillow with both shoulders relaxed, and this is something she has never done. Skeptic no longer. Claudia is making a difference for our daughter.
Mother of a 30-year-old with cerebral palsy
Thanks for introducing me to a new level of healing and recovery. I feel safe during the treatment and know that you won't hurt me. There aren't many moments in the past 2½ years that I haven't been in pain. But you help me relax and grow slow and quiet. Learning a new skill helps me feel hopeful.
80-year-old recovering from surgery
Most approaches try to fix what's "wrong" through repetition and force. The Curious Path takes a different direction.
Rooted in the science of neuroplasticity and the pioneering work of Anat Baniel (ABM® NeuroMovement®), this method creates the conditions your brain needs to learn, adapt, and reorganize naturally. Instead of pushing harder, we slow down. Instead of correcting, we explore. Instead of forcing, we discover.
Tune into sensations and current movement patterns, because awareness of what is becomes the foundation for what's possible.
Release rigid goals and timelines, because lasting change isn't always linear, and flexibility leaves room for surprising breakthroughs.
Play with movement in new and unexpected ways, because the brain thrives on variety and wakes up to what's new.
Aim attention at one simple movement quality, so the nervous system knows what to organize around.
Notice shifts as they emerge, because seeing what's improving is often the doorway to what comes next.
Create better conditions for learning, because the nervous system improves fastest when the environment supports discovery.
Deepen new patterns through deliberate repetition, because insight needs repetition to become lasting change.

Reclaim How You Bend Down & Reach Without Fear
A gentle movement guide that helps you start moving with more ease and confidence, in just 15 minutes.
With over 30 years in movement education, I've worked with collegiate athletes, children with neurological and developmental challenges, older adults recovering from surgery, and everyone in between. My career has been a single, winding path toward understanding how the brain and body learn together.
Today, I help children discover new possibilities for movement and growth. And I help adults reclaim comfort, confidence, and freedom in their bodies using The Curious Path method.
I'm based in Kingwood, TX (northeast Houston), and I'd love to hear from you.
Let's TalkWhat to know before your first session.
For adults, you'll lie fully clothed on a low, comfortable table while I use gentle, precise movements to help your brain discover new options for easier movement. For children, sessions are playful and adapted to their age, condition, and energy level. I follow your child's lead, using engaging activities and gentle touch to help their brain discover how their body can move in new ways. Many people, both children and adults, experience noticeable shifts after a single session.
Unlike therapies that focus on "fixing" the area of pain or difficulty through repetition and effort, this brain-centered approach works by engaging the entire nervous system. Pain or limitation often reflects deeper patterns of disorganization throughout the body. By gently redirecting attention and movement, we support the brain's natural ability to reorganize, adapt, and improve function, often leading to surprising and lasting changes beyond the original concern.
For new clients, I recommend starting with 4 to 6 sessions spaced closely together to give your brain the best chance to learn and retain new patterns. For children, an intensive approach works best: 4 to 10 sessions over 1 to 2 weeks, followed by a month-long integration period. For ongoing growth, weekly or biweekly sessions help reinforce and deepen the changes.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing such as yoga pants or long pants, and clean socks (shoes will be removed). Avoid tight clothing, skirts, or anything restrictive. Please do not wear perfume or scented lotions. For children's sessions, make sure they are well-fed beforehand and bring a snack for afterward, as the brain uses a lot of energy when learning new things.
ABM® NeuroMovement® is classified as somatic education rather than a medical treatment and is not covered by insurance in the U.S. I can provide a detailed invoice for possible out-of-network reimbursement at your provider's discretion. In some cases, HSA or FSA funds may be used with a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee, except for emergencies. For children's sessions, if your child is sick or has had a rough night, you may cancel without charge, but please provide as much notice as possible.
